The client’s dog had some fun with this bible.
I filled the torn foam and stabilized the chipboard. I also rebuilt a new spine and extended it beyond the torn edge and tucked it under. Although I don’t always like to distress new materials to match the original, it seemed best for this not-so-old book to have the new cloth blend in with the old. I smudged some watercolor and paste onto the new cloth.
