This spine had detached from this small bible with the tiniest print. The bible had been bound in cloth and significant family dates–weddings, births, deaths–had been recorded wherever there was space on the flyleaf or the margins.I built a new spine using airplane linen and Moriki laminate to insert between the board and the original cloth of the covers. The black Moriki matched the color and texture of the original cloth fairly well but I still had to adjust the tone with dyes to make it seamless.
